Dale Mochan
Owner & Founder, D&A Armory
Dale Mochan is a serial entrepreneur, author, firearms expert, and the owner and founder of D&A Armory. As a manufacturer of firearms and suppressors, he has built our shop on integrity, exceptional customer service, gunsmithing expertise, and community engagement — and he brings that same standard to training.
An avid shooter and lifelong learner, Dale continually sharpens his own tactical skillset through consistent training with RPDT. He is also the author of The Million Dollar Shot, a motivational book blending his personal story with lessons on perseverance, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial success.
Ryan Patete
Owner & Chief Instructor, RPDT
Ryan Patete is the owner and chief instructor of Rifle & Pistol Defense Training. A seasoned law-enforcement professional, Ryan serves full-time as a detective in a suburb of Cleveland and previously operated on a regional SWAT team — with tactical experience spanning high-risk warrant service, barricade and hostage situations, and K-9 operations.
His teaching is built on real-world pragmatism: tactical movement, decision-making under stress, team coordination, and precision rifle and force-on-force engagements. Every drill has a mission focus, and every skill is trained to hold up under pressure — within legal and safety standards.
